10 (Formerly the Emim lived there, a people great and numerous and as tall as the Anakim;(A) 11 like the Anakim they are considered Rephaim, though the Moabites call them Emim.(B) 12 In Seir, however, the former inhabitants were the Horites;(C) the descendants of Esau dispossessed them, clearing them out of the way and dwelling in their place, just as Israel has done in the land of its possession which the Lord gave it.)
